With IJ seemingly officially back, this community probably will not be used that often - if at all. I made this community with the intent of it being a retreat for those of us who needed it while IJ was down. Thank you for being here with us during this time.

That being said, I am going to change the community to moderated entry and posts only. Over the course of the week, I will also be locking all of the entries that are already here (aside from this post and the posting guidelines post.) If it is needed again in the future it will still be here for you and I will open it back up again.

If you have any questions or concerns - please let me know. Comments are screened.

InsaneJournal: So there good news and the bad news.
I have data and it's good, but the bad news is that it's from 2/13.
What this means:
1) Im not going to have the time to clean things up enough to bring it online tonight.
2) If your account already existed, all of your posts and comments are safe (unless they were commented on a newer account)
3) Any accounts created since then have been lost.
4) Any paid/permanent accounts purchased since then have been lost
5) Any accounts that have been renamed since then have reverted.
5) We have to re-run the purge from scratch.
What we will be doing:
Tomorrow I will be writing all of the scripts to clean up the database. Once this is done, I'll be running them and then bringing the site online. This will be tomorrow.
We will be working to refund all payments since 2/13 (except for the donations). If you have paid since then and want your money back we will gladly process any disputes you file through paypal.
If anyone has a better idea on how to handle the refunds, we will gladly discuss it in the comments.

Just heard from the data recovery people that they have a good recovery. I should have the data in my hands today. I am hoping I can get the servers rebuilt and back online tonight. There will be additional downtime later this week to install extra drives and to configure new backups

UPDATE: we are not going to return to service tonight, it should be in service by tomorrow evening.
Thank you to everyone for your patience during this trying process.

Update: The data recovery place has our data and is putting it onto a USB drive for us to get. However this process is taking a good amount of time. We dont think we'll have the data in time to get the servers into the data center today. This means we can't get online yet.
